Mountain Barista

To me, the mountains are a place where I can work really hard and experience suffering or chill out and enjoy the views. I guess what I like to do is an experience both. Often at the same time.

My favourite thing to do is to move efficiently over technical terrain toward an objective, in these moments I like to push myself and test my limits. Once at the summit it is time to sit and appreciate the views. With a cup of freshly brewed coffee of course.

What are the ambitions that you are working towards?

To summit all the peaks in the Hex River Mountains. Well all the cool ones anyway. And some plans to climb peaks abroad.

What are some of your top tips?

Never forget your paper filters for your AeroPress at home.... haha no seriously. I guess to just go out and do what makes you happy in the mountains. If you enjoy camping and stargazing on remote vlaktes do it. If high adrenaline experiences feed your soul go for it. As long as you are having fun in a safe and respectable way don't let anything stop you.
