Athletic Fit
Conforms to the body’s contours.
Slim Fit
Closer-fitting. Slim-fitting technical garments may be worn over baselayers and light midlayers.
Regular Fit
Neither slim nor oversized. Regular-fitting technical garments may be worn over heavier midlayers.
Relaxed Fit
Drapes loosely on the body and can be worn over other layers
Expedition Fit
A very loose fit that is designed to be worn over insulating jackets and baselayers.
How to measure
A CHEST
Measure around the fullest part, across chest points, keeping the tape horizontal.
B SLEEVE
With elbow bent, measure from the center (back) of neck to elbow and down to wrist.
C WAIST
Measure around the narrowest part (typically the small of your back and where your body bends side to side), keeping the tape horizontal.
D HIP
Measure around the fullest part of your hips keeping the tape horizontal.

Expedition tested from the South African Antarctic Research Base on the South Pole through to many of the world's highest mountains, the Malamute Down Jacket has built a reputation for keeping all of Mother Nature's fury at bay. This extremely warm and durable jacket features a lofty 650 Fill Power and a water-repellant finish, made with 92/8 high-quality duck down. There are multiple pockets to keep your belongings safe and your hands toasty; as well as an adjustable hood. The jacket is highly compressible, despite its thickness, making it an ideal travel companion on your great expedition adventures into the unknown.

Down is natures lightest and best form of insulation. Being a natural product, it is the best performing high loft insulation on the market. It is warmer, lighter and more compact than any other insulation and effectively traps body heat to keep you warm.
A DWR coating is applied to improve the water repellency of the garment. DWR assists by beading water off the fabrics surface, increasing the water-resistance of the jacket.
This breathable and lightweight waterproof fabric is used for selected First Ascent outerwear and activewear garments. Garments which bear a Vapourtex Fabric label are waterproof, keeping you protected during moderate rain conditions. Look out for seam-sealed garments, these garments will provide you with the highest level of coverage in wet weather conditions.
