Located near Saulsville in the Hennops Nature Reserve is the elusive Crocodile trail. Do not attempt this hike without a seasoned hiker, and ensure you’re hiking fit and equipped with the right gear & apparel to tackle the tough terrain.
Known for it’s steep inclines and tricky descents, it reminds some hikers of Table Mountain! You’ll be rewarded for your efforts as there is breathtaking scenery along the way that makes it all worth it. The name suggests it, but hikers are more likely to see small game such as Kudu & Eland rather than crocodiles.
There are ample shaded resting spots, with some peaceful areas to enjoy lunch and snacks. Plan to kick off your hike early as this is a very popular hiking destination and the route can get congested during peak times.
Perfect to break a sweat, the Crocodile trail will see you burning some serious calories with its undulating typography.
